Oireachtas Rince Uladh  / Ulster Irish Dancing Championships 2015 is taking place in Letterkenny this weekend. It is estimated that in excess of 10,000 people will attend the championships from all over Ulster and its bordering counties during this four-day major event.

Irish dancing is becoming more popular than ever before and this will be a magnificent showcase for those young (4yrs – 21yrs)  performing and competing in the traditional art of dancing at national and world level as well as for the impassioned audience it attracts from all over the global community.

It adds a festival dimension to the gateway town as an out-of season event and will benefit Letterkenny and its neighbouring towns economically, socially and culturally. The success of the Ulster Dancing Championships event in County Donegal to date  has resulted in the imminent return of Oireachtas Rince Uladh to Ballbofey in 2016.
